Karl Desil, Saint Peter’s track athlete and biology major, has spent the last three years as a collegiate athlete and student. Being that the biology department at Saint Peter’s is demanding, he is forced to juggle hours of homework and studying with hours of practice and weight training. The applause he gets on the track from his teammates and his family is motivating, but sometimes the burden of having to choose between athletics and academia or the uncertainty of his future when athletics have ended makes his a bit uneasy.
